Welcome to Kindergarten here at Plato Academy in Palm Harbor! We are very excited to have you as a part of our school family. This is our first year teaching together in Kindergarten, and we couldn't be more excited. Mrs. Holden has even worked with Mrs. Whiddon as a parent as Mrs. Whiddon taught her oldest daughter, and is lucky enough to get her second daughter this year. Below you can find out some more information about us. We look forward to working with you and your child!
Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Melissa Whiddon. I was born and raised in Indiana where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. This will be my twelfth year teaching Kindergarten at Plato Academy Palm Harbor. As your child’s teacher, it is my objective for your student to have a successful, productive, and engaging school year! Children learn in a variety of ways. My goal is to open the pathways for your child to grow and learn successfully at their own pace. By creating a safe and fun environment, your child will be able to explore and discover new ideas in my classroom.
I am thrilled that I am able to continue teaching Kindergarten which is dear to my heart. |
Welcome Kindergarten Familes!
My name is Mrs. Hillary Holden. I was born in Florida but raised in Pennsylvania. I missed the sunshine state, so I came back down for college at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. It is here where I met my husband and we have four, beautiful daughters! This will be my fourth year teaching at Plato Academy Palm Harbor, but fifth year with Plato Academy (I was at the Trinity Campus for a year). As your child’s teacher, I hope to be able to develop a nurturing relationship with your kiddo to be able to help them learn to love school! I also firmly believe in parent/teacher partnership, so I hope together we can help your child flourish this year. Looking forward to a great year together! |
